Does the MammoSTAR® marker provide enhanced ultrasound visibility?
Yes, the MammoSTAR® marker has a lyophilized beta-glucan gel (or simple sugar) that provides enhanced long-term ultrasound visibility to allow easier pre-surgery localization.1
What are the markers composed of?
The MammoSTAR® marker and BiomarC® marker clips are composed of carbon coated ceramic. The MammoSTAR® marker also has a carrier that is composed of lyophilized beta-glucan gel (or simple sugar).
Do the MammoSTAR® and BiomarC® markers contain nickel?
The MammoSTAR® markers and BiomarC® markers do not contain nickel.
What are the measurements of the MammoSTAR® marker and BiomarC® marker?

The size of each clip is:

  • BiomarC® Petite Barbell: 1x3mm
  • BiomarC® Barbell: 2x4mm
  • BiomarC® Tribell: 1x5mm.
  • MammoSTAR® Barbell: 1x3mm
  • MammoSTAR® Tribell: 1x5mm
